Hello! We are Mike and Maria and we are the happy and proud owners of “Saltwater Sunrise” and “Salt on the Rim,” OBX Salt Life beach houses.

We purchased “Saltwater Sunrise” in August 2019 so that we could have a place to vacation with our dogs. In a few short weeks of ownership, Hurricane Dorian welcomed us to Oceanfront living. “Saltwater Sunrise” proved to be a Hurricane Warrior as she fought to keep her place on the beach. As such, we rewarded her bravery with high impact windows and a panoramic ocean view which is simply spectacular! Because we absolutely love this home, our maintenance on her never stops. She stands strong with a new fortified roof (2025), all new 16′ deep pilings (2021) and all new high impact windows (2020). Of course she has had new appliances, new quartz countertops, new HVAC and all the other salty maintenance she deserves!

Since Kitty Hawk is our favorite place in the Outer Banks, we kept our eyes open for another home to love and share. Along came “Salt on the Rim” who is located just an easy breezy stretch your legs 150 yard walk to the beach and only a couple blocks from Saltwater Sunrise.  She was a gem in the making. We realized her potential, and we are quickly bringing her up to our standards.

“Salt on the Rim” got a complete backyard makeover with a private pool and hot tub in 2021. Since then she has received a backyard pergola with privacy slats, wooden walkway, platform deck, new appliances, quartz countertops, new flooring, a fortified roof and is in the process of new sheathing, LP Smart Side, beachy paint color, and all new windows and doors. She will continue to receive all the maintenance and upgrades she and our guests deserve!

Both our homes are lovingly cared for and are expertly cleaned to a very high standard by our incredible cleaner. You won’t be disappointed!
